Copyrights

Copyright: Protection to authors of published and unpublished original works, including art, literary works, maps, movies, architectural plans, photographs and computer programs.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 8 of the US Constitution is the source of copyrights. Copyright covers the creative expression, not the underlying ideas expressed. Copyright laws are codified in Title 17, US Code.
